YouTuber Savannah LaBrant and her twink husband Cole are receiving backlash for an April Fool's prank they played on their daughter, where they told her they had to get rid of their family pet. As someone who grew up in a family that participates in viscous prank wars (hospital runs have been staged), I don't see anything wrong in this. As a child, however, that was devastated to hear of the loss of my guinea pig Jasmine, I also sympathize with this child.
