Several news outlets have teamed together to boycott Ariana Grande over the "highly restrictive" photo agreement she's put in place for her current Sweetener tour. Photographers are only permitted to take photographs for the first three songs, in a designated area. Then all photos must be handed over for Ariana's approval, and all the rights for said photos must be signed over to her.
Apparently this isn't anything groundbreaking. Both Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift have implemented similar policies in the past. I don't necessarily see the big deal in any of this. Artists have (or should) always been super meticulous about their image and what's presented to the public. This just sounds like a more streamlined and efficient way of making that happen. You can read more of Ariana's rules and see who's saying "thank u, next" in response here. What do you think? Is this a reasonable request for artists to make, or too restrictive?
