Growing up in the Bay Area, Christie James had two morning radio hosts she loved listening to. Years later, after starting out as an intern, she got to co-host morning shows with both of them, and those shows are still among the proudest moments of her career.

Christie’s path to broadcasting began in the U.S. Navy, where she served in the Presidential Honor Guard, gave tours at the Pentagon, and took part in hundreds of military funerals at Arlington National Cemetery. She’s been on the air since 2003, working middays and hosting, co-hosting, and producing morning shows across Top 40, classic hits, AC, hot AC, rhythmic, and adult R&B. Her approach to radio is simple: great music, good energy, real conversations, and a little fun along the way.

Beyond the radio mic, Christie DJs, does voiceover work, and is a passionate community advocate. She serves on several LGBTQ+ boards and supports veterans’ organizations and women’s support services. She believes in giving back, lifting people up, and living by one simple rule: it costs nothing to be kind.

A few fun facts? She’s an electric car enthusiast, but not much of a pet person. Rihanna, John Mayer, and Prince top her playlist, her first concert was R.E.M., and Rihanna’s “S&M” is a permanent no-skip. And if you want to win her over, the crème brûlée cheesecake from Fogo de Chão is a pretty good start. If you know, you know.
