Nicki Minaj was targeted by another swatter who called police to report a shooting at her home in Los Angeles.
According to a report TMZ published on Thursday, April 10, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office received a call to its business line — not 911 — just after 7 p.m. on Wednesday night. The anonymous caller claimed there was an assault at Minaj's home in Hidden Hills. Police rushed out to the location and surrounded the home, however, they found zero evidence of a shooting. In fact, the house was empty when they got there.
The caller claimed a Black woman was shot while on the property, and told police that two people were still there. When they got there, police didn't discover any other issues within the property's vicinity. Minaj and her family were not home when police arrived. The Queen rapper wasn't even on the West Coast at the time.
This is the third time Nicki Minaj has been swatted over the past two years. The platinum-selling artist was the victim of two swatting calls in 2023. Someone called child protective services on Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty in June 2023. The anonymous person claimed their three-year-old son was being abused. The couple spoke with sheriff deputies and ultimately determined the child was fine.
The second swatting call happened a month later. Another unidentified caller told police there was a shooting at her home. There was an investigation into who kept targeting Minaj that summer. Police eventually identified the suspect Stephanie Bell and charged her with two counts of reporting a false emergency.
As of this report, the new swat attacker has not been identified.
