Drake Stinks At Sports In New 'Laugh Now Cry Later' Video Feat. Lil Durk

Drake has recruited Lil Durk for his newest joint.

At midnight Friday (August 14), the Canadian crooner dropped the visual for his new single featuring the Chicago native, titled “Laugh Now Cry Later.” The 5-minute Dave Meyers-directed visual sees the rapper shutting down Nike World Headquarters in Oregon and features special appearances by Kevin Durant, Marshawn Lynch, and Odell Beckham Jr.

Not only does the video give an inside look at Drake’s high-life as he showers his girl with bags upon bags of new Nikes, it also illustrates just how bad the 33-year-old is at playing sports. The clip shows the emcee getting blocked and ripped in a 1-on-1 with Durant and his route running with Odell Beckham Jr. ends with an out-of-blue tackle from Lynch.

Not to mention, we also get to see Drake shed a few tears in the video — a befitting touch for such a bittersweet song.

“Sometimes we laugh and sometimes we cry, but I guess you know now, baby/ I took a half and she took the whole thing, slow down, baby,” he sings in the chorus. “We took a trip, now we on your block and it's like a ghost town, baby/ Where do these n—s be at when they say they doin' all this and all that?”

“Laugh Now Cry Later” is the first song to arrive from Drake’s upcoming sixth studio album, which we now know will be titled Certified Lover Boy. The record follows the artist’s previously-released full-length, Scorpion (2018), and the Dark Lane Demo Tapes EP, which he delivered in May.
