Shania Twain Covers Taylor Swift & Drake During Hits-Filled AMA Performance

Shania Twain reminded the 2019 American Music Awards of her long-lasting legacy (as well as highlights from others) when the country titan took to the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday (November 24) to perform a medley of her biggest smashes.

For her first performance on the AMA stage in 16 years, the chart-topper, 54, brought all the gems from the past, but it started off with hits from other genres. To kick off the number, Twain wore a hot pink dress, while delivering an acoustic medley of hits from recent years from Post Malone ("Rockstar"), Twenty One Pilots ("Stressed Out"), Taylor Swift, ("Shake It Off") and Drake's "God's Plan." Sitting on stage with her guitar in-tow, Twain transitioned into her signature smash, "Still The One," but that was only the beginning of Twain material. Once the music stopped, her performance ventured into high gear with some choreography, flashy backdrops and, of course, her uptempo hits like "Any Man of Mine," "Don't Impress Me Much" and "Man! I Feel Like A Woman."

Last week, Twain teased her big comeback by sharing a clip from her very first performance on the AMA stage in 1996, where she performed "(If You're Not in It for Love) I'm Outta Here!" The track was the fourth single from her second studio LP, The Woman in Me.

If you want even more of Twain, make sure you snag tickets to her "Let's Go" Las Vegas residency, which is coming to the Zappos Theater in Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The 23-date residency, which the singer serves as creative director, kicks off in December with a number of dates throughout the month and additional shows in March, May and June 2020. It follows her 100+ date "Still the One" residency, which was housed at Caesars Place between 2012 - 2014.
